Version 2.6.8
Hello. I have continued to wake up early for two months.
Well, it's another important update.
@Renewal of the icon
@Improvement of the problem where it crashes upon playback
Firstly, as a visual change, we have renewed the icon. Until now, it was a mediocre icon that I, an amateur, had made casually, but we had a designer create something proper.
As they are a professional, they offered many suggestions, and from those, I chose a simple one that I liked as the basis for the creation. It was my first experience with this.
Next, the improvement of the issue where the app crashes when it is reopened and played again. This was something that also troubled me, but after testing the fixed version for about a week and not experiencing any crashes, I believe it has significantly improved this time.
If you like the app, I would be happy if you could leave a review on the AppStore.
See you again!

Version 2.6.6
Hello. I've been keeping up with the early development phase.
Now, onto an important update.
@Ad Bug Fix
In the free version, an ad for the premium version is supposed to show up periodically. However, there was a bug reported where viewing an ad to continue using the app for free wouldn't reset as expected.
I've had trouble reproducing this bug in my own or my friends' environments, but I've made some programming adjustments to prevent this issue from occurring.
With these changes, the problem where the ad display does not allow progress while staying in the free version should be resolved.
Additionally, I've made several minor improvements that might go unnoticed.
If you like the app, I'd appreciate a review on the AppStore.
See you next time!

Version 2.6.5
Hello. I'm feeling a bit sleep-deprived.
Well, it's time for some minor updates again.
@Fixing crash issues
@Making the entire text shareable
@Other minor fixes
Firstly, since the update to iOS 17, I've been intermittently addressing an issue where the voice engine's malfunctions cause more frequent crashes.
Fundamentally, I am waiting for an iOS update, but it seems to have become a bit more stable again.
Also, I've made it possible to share the entire text. This has been a request for some time, so it's a bit late, but I've finally implemented it.
In addition, I've made small fixes like not showing the button for texts that cannot be opened in a browser.
If you like the app, I'd be happy if you could leave a review on the App Store.
See you again!

Version 2.6.4
Hello. My appetite and weight have returned.
Now, for a small update.
@ Standard Speed Adjustment.
I think many people use Voicepaper for studying English, but since the standard speed was adjusted in Japanese, I realized that the standard speed for English was too fast.
This might be especially troubling for those using the free version, so this time, I've adjusted the standard speed for English to a more comfortable level.
Also, I've uploaded two tutorial videos on how to use the app in the store screenshots, which might be a bit helpful for those who still don't understand how to use it.
If you like the app, I would be happy if you could leave a review on the App Store.

Version 2.6.3
Hello. I've been bedridden for three days due to food poisoning.
Now, onto the bug fixes.
-Fixed an issue causing crashes upon resuming
-Improved descriptions
I've been struggling with an issue where Voicepaper would crash when reopened after a while, but after extensive research, I believe I have successfully fixed it.
Interestingly, I consulted ChatGPT for various solutions to this crash issue and made corrections. It's indeed very handy.
Also, with the recent update, we've made it possible to convert images into text. I've added descriptions explaining that you can continuously screenshot pages of an e-book and import them directly via the action button.
If you enjoy the app, I'd be thrilled to receive a review on the App Store.
See you again!

Version 2.6.2
Hello. I'm still developing as the year ends.
This time, I'm focusing on design improvements.
-Font change on the list screen
-Button improvements on the list screen
-Improvements to the initial text
Firstly, the most significant change is the adjustment of the font on the list screen, making it more readable and stylish.
Also, the buttons at the top of the list screen have been redesigned to indicate that they are clickable.
Furthermore, I have polished the initial text, improved the screenshots, and diligently worked on the finer details.
If you like the app, I'd appreciate a review on the App Store.

Version 2.6.1
Hello. I'm staying indoors because it's cold.
So, this time it's about minor improvements.
@Improved highlighting
@Restored end-of-session sound
@Other improvements
Firstly, as the most significant part, I have improved visibility by highlighting the entire line. This seems like a subtle but good improvement.
By the way, I've been investigating the issue of highlights suddenly disappearing since iOS 17, but unfortunately, it's an iOS glitch and there's nothing much I can do about it.
I hope to fix it as soon as a correction or a better method is found.
Also, splitting the text within the app has made its operation smoother, and now even splitting texts into 10,000 characters is not a problem. Therefore, I've restored the end-of-session sound.
Other minor improvements have been made as well.
If you like the app, I'd be happy if you could leave a review on the AppStore.
See you again!

Version 2.6.0
Hello. I was recently bedridden with a fever.
Now, onto some fine-tuning.
@Adjustment of internal text segmentation:
Since the iOS 17 update, there have been issues with the voice component becoming heavy and stopping. I've been trying various solutions for this recently.
As a result, in the last update, we implemented a desperate measure to internally segment text to lighten the load.
However, while this did lighten the load, it also created a problem where the text would get cut off every 300 characters because of the segmentation.
So, we've adjusted this to segment every 1000 characters instead, trying to balance lightening the load.
Ideally, the best solution would be fixing the voice engine issues with the iOS 17 update, but until then, we want to try various measures as a workaround.
If you like the app, I'd appreciate it if you could leave a review on the App Store.
See you again!

Version 2.5.9
Hello. I've been working regularly lately.
This time, it's about measures for the playback part.
@Addressing issues with heavy playback or stopping
Ever since iOS 17, I've been having sleepless nights due to heavy audio playback and the occurrence of pause bugs, but I think I've finally found a solution.
At this point, I decided to rewrite the programming for the playback part. After pondering for a few days with a lot of thoughts, I think I've fixed it nicely.
Specifically, I rewrote it to a mechanism that splits and loads text internally. Playback start, double-tap for specified part playback, everything became lighter.
Also, even if you set the import settings to 10,000 characters or so, it won't get heavy anymore, so I think the problem of blog articles being split too much and becoming a hassle to reorder is also gone.
I test it myself every day, but if you find any inconvenience, it would be helpful if you could kindly inform me via Settings => Requests.
I would be happy if you like the app and leave a review on the AppStore.
See you again!

Version 2.5.5
Hello. I have purchased a down jacket.
Now, here is another important update.
Addressed the issue of crashing on resume playback
Import from the Files app
Support for PDF files
Firstly, we have addressed the issue where the app would freeze upon resuming playback, a problem that has been occurring since iOS 17.
This is due to a bug in iOS's text-to-speech engine, but as it doesn't seem to be getting fixed anytime soon, we've resorted to forcibly restarting the audio engine when returning from the background.
Additionally, we have enabled importing from the iOS Files app and, finally, the much-awaited ability to import PDF files.
PDF files can now be saved from the Files app, Dropbox, and Google Drive.
PDFs are significant, but I believe image recognition is the key feature lately, so we have made various adjustments to make this more understandable. We plan to update the help section soon.
If you like the app, I would be grateful for a review on the App Store.

Hello! It's cold, so I've brought out the heater.
Now, onto the main topic: this is a big update after a long time!
Text Recognition from Camera & Photos
Finally, we've achieved text extraction from images! You can now capture text from books using your camera, or import text from multiple saved photos all at once.
It's also possible to take screenshots of multiple pages in an e-book and save them directly via the share button. Please note that vertical text support requires iOS 17.
When I want to listen to the e-book I'm reading, I screenshot about 10 pages and listen to them while I'm on the go. It's incredibly convenient.
We've also made various minor fixes and adjustments.
If you like the app, I'd appreciate a review on the AppStore.

Version 2.5.0
Hello. I've switched to a thicker futon.
Now, let's talk about the changes in the free version:
@Background playback is now available in the free version
@I discontinued banner ads and switched to ads every 5 minutes
@You can now try changing the voice speed for 10 seconds
In the last update, I tried using banner ads, but after some consideration, I felt they didn't look quite right, so I've decided to remove them.
Consequently, I've brought back the background playback feature in the free version, as it's one of Voicepaper's standout features that users should experience.
I've also made various other minor adjustments and fixes.
If you like the app, I'd appreciate a review on the AppStore.

Version 2.4.9
Hello. I have stocked up on winter clothes.
This time, the main focus is on bug fixes.
@Correction for voice file creation
@Backup correction on iPad
Firstly, I have fixed the issue where voice file creation was not possible on iOS17. This was a challenging problem, but I managed to get it working.
I have also fixed the issue where the app crashes when backing up data on an iPad.
Both of these issues suddenly arose after updating to iOS17. Thanks to the kind feedback from users, I was able to notice these inconveniences. Thank you!
If you like the app, I would appreciate it if you could leave a review on the AppStore.

Hello. My day and night schedule has been a bit reversed.
Now, I have made several improvements and changes this time.
・Extended free time with ad display
・Fixed issue with crashing on audio files
・Revised the mechanism for the paid version
・Reduced initial Tips
・Auto-scroll corrected
Initially, there used to be a temporary pause every 5 minutes, but I have significantly extended the free time to every 15 minutes by displaying banner ads. Along with this, I have made background playback a feature of the paid version, making it easier to try out for free for a longer time.
Also, since iOS 17, there had been an issue where the app would crash during audio file creation, so I have fixed this as well.
Lastly, I have improved the movement of auto-scroll, enhanced various screens, and made various corrections to the finer details.
If you like the app, I would be happy if you could leave a review on the App Store.

@ Making the timer a paid feature

In addition, I have made the paid screen easier to see and made minor improvements. Also, since removing the ads, I have made the timer a feature of the paid version.
Apart from that, I have fixed the screen transition buttons and made minor improvements here and there.

Version 2.4.4
Hello. I'm still keeping up with the early mornings.
This time, the changes are mainly for the free version.
@ Trial period for the paid version extended to 1 month
@ No more ads
@ Voice speed adjustment now a premium feature
Firstly, in the previous free version, when a certain amount of time had passed, you had to finish watching a video ad to continue playback. I've decided to remove these ads.
In the free version, there will still be occasional pop-ups suggesting an upgrade, but you can continue playback without watching ads. In exchange, I've made the speed adjustment a feature of the paid version.
Also, I've extended the trial period for the first purchase of the paid version to 1 month. I hope this makes it easier for you to try out the paid version.
In addition, I've been making various minor adjustments here and there.
If you like the app, I would be delighted if you could leave a review on the App Store.
